Booking Policies

Sunset at Zac's Shack

Bookings may be made through this form, Facebook Messenger, or via phone/Viber/WhatsApp.

      

Please provide all necessary details for us to ensure maximum efficiency. We will check for availability on your desired dates and send you a quotation via your chosen method of communication within 24 working hours. This quotation will only include the information on availability and total rates for your desired travel dates, and is not yet an official reservation. 


  • Kindly appoint only one point person in your party and choose only one platform (call/ text/Facebook Messenger/Viber) to communicate with us to avoid confusion.
     
  • Reservation payments are currently accepted through bank deposit (BDO). Send us your proof of payment and allow us some time to confirm the transaction has cleared in our account. Once it has, we will be sending you your confirmation in email/message form.
     
  • WE DO NOT MAKE PENCIL BOOKINGS. A minimum of 50% downpayment is required to secure your reservation. Unpaid reservations are held only until 11am the following day, after which time the rooms will be released for sale.
     
  • CUTOFF TIME FOR PAYMENTS IS 3PM. If you send payment before then, expect a confirmation within the day. If payment is sent past 3pm, please expect confirmation the following day. 


  • The maximum allowable persons per room are as follows:
    • Sea View, Poolside and Standard Rooms: 4 adults + 2 children aged 5 and below 

               • Bunker Rooms: 6 adults + 2 children aged 5 and below
 

Anyone over the above stated maximum allowable capacities will have to book a separate room, which is subject to availability. THIS IS STRICTLY IMPLEMENTED and we are unable to provide extra beds, so please manage your booking accordingly.


  • If you arrive with additional persons exceeding what is indicated in your booking confirmation, additional rooms will be subject to availability. 

   

  • Please be informed that we do not have any official tie-ins with any travel agents/ agencies. Book with third parties at your own discretion. Management will not be held liable for any markup fees you may be charged.
     
  • We do not accept day tours.
     
  • Visitors (non-staying guests) will be charged a cover fee of Php500/head which will allow them access to our beachfront, pool, external bathrooms, and towels. 

PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT THE FOLLOWING ARE NOT PERMITTED WITHIN THE PREMISES:

  • Pets. The presence of any animals upon arrival will be subject to forfeiture of your booking.
  • Appliances (fans, cooking appliances, and the like) and portable furniture (tables, etc.)
  • Cooking and outside food
  • Smoking (outside of designated areas)
  • Firearms
  • Illegal substances


Kindly ensure all members of your party are informed of these to avoid any inconveniences upon check-in.

FEES APPLY FOR THE FOLLOWING:

  • Early check in & late check out (subject to room availability)
  • Alcohol Corkage
  • Depending on the season, you may be charged an Ecological Fee of ₱20/head upon entry into Brgy. Calayo.

CHECKING IN

  • Kindly coordinate with the reservations representative or front desk officer if you want to arrange an early check-in. Our representative will advise you if your room is available at your time of arrival and give you the rates for early check-in.
     
  • You will be asked to fill out a Guest Registration form with the details of your booking along with an agreement to our Terms and Conditions and compliance with House Rules and Regulations.
     
  • You will be asked for a valid government-issued ID (one per room)
     
  • SECURITY DEPOSIT: ₱1000 per room, which will be refunded in full upon check out barring any losses or damages to your room/s.
     
  • A representative will endorse the room to you to make sure that everything is in place, and all fixtures are present and accounted for and in working order. Inform them if you see any defective items or fixtures, otherwise, any damage incurred will be charged accordingly. 

CHECKING OUT

  • You will be presented with an invoice of total payables and any incidentals (if applicable) to be settled upon check out. 


  • Please observe the standard check out time (12:00nn) to avoid being charged extra for extending your stay. Kindly inform our staff if you need to arrange late checkout, which is subject to availability.
     
  • If late check out is available for your room, the max time is 1:00pm or 1 hour past check out time (12nn) free of charge. Past 1:00pm, the fee will be Php500/hr, automatically charged upon 15 minutes past grace period.
     
  • If your room has an incoming booking, the pro-rated hourly fee will automatically apply upon 12:30pm.
     
  • Your security deposit will be returned to you in full upon check out barring any losses, damages or staining to your room and the inclusions therein, and upon the return of your key/s. 

REBOOKING POLICY

  • Rebooking requests are subject to a ₱100 rebooking fee plus any applicable forfeiture fees as detailed below.
  • Guests may request a rebooking up to 3 days before check-in. After this period, 25% of the total reservation will be forfeited.
  • A maximum of two (2) rebookings is allowed per reservation, subject to room availability.
  • Any forfeiture amount + rebooking fee will be added to your balance upon check-in.


OPEN-DATE REBOOKINGS

  • If you choose an open-date rebooking, your reservation credit must be used within 6 months from the original booking date.
  • Your rebooked stay will be subject to current rates at the time of your new check-in date.
  • After the 6-month period, any amount paid will be forfeited.


CANCELLATION POLICY AND REFUNDS

  • Cancellations are subject to forfeiture fees as follows:
    • Within 24 hours of booking confirmation: No charge (Full refund).
    • Up to 7 days before check-in: 10% forfeiture of the downpayment.
    • 2–6 days before check-in: 50% forfeiture of the downpayment.
    • Less than 24 hours before check-in: 100% forfeiture (No-show).
  • Partial Cancellations for Multi-Room/Night Reservations:
    • The cancellation fee applies only to the canceled room/nights, while the remaining reservation stays subject to standard payment terms.
  • No refunds for:
    • Late arrivals, early departures, or shortened stays.
    • No-shows (100% forfeiture of the downpayment).

PROMO RATES AND NON-REFUNDABLE BOOKINGS

  • Promo rates are non-refundable but can be rebooked subject to availability.
  • Any paid amount will be credited towards a future stay following the standard rebooking policy.

EXCEPTIONAL CIRCUMSTANCES (Illness, Natural Disasters, Force Majeure)

  • If you cannot fulfill your booking due to illness, natural disasters, or force majeure, you must provide supporting documentation within 7 days of the cancellation or rebooking request.
  • Failure to provide documentation will result in the standard forfeiture policy being upheld.
  • Zac’s Shack reserves the right to assess each case individually and make discretionary decisions.

RESORT-INITIATED CANCELLATIONS

In the unlikely event that Zac’s Shack must cancel a reservation due to maintenance issues, severe weather, or safety concerns, guests will receive:

  • A full refund OR a full credit towards a future stay.
  • We will notify guests as early as possible and assist in finding alternative accommodations when necessary.

REFUND PROCESSING TIME

Refunds (when applicable) will be processed within 7–14 business days via the original payment method.

By booking a room with us, you are agreeing to abide by our House Rules and Terms & Conditions.
